Compliance Reform and Tech Evolution in Finance, Healthcare, and Telecom Sectors

February 6, 2024

If you are a financial institution it might be the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, FINRA or the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC). Healthcare providers and life sciences companies are watching Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology (ONC) and the FDA, and the Federal Communications Commission if you are a telecom provider. As we enter 2024 we will continue to see renewed focus by these agencies on compliance reform, enforcement, and fast evolving regulatory demands. The good news is many of those demands are accompanied by interoperability and standardization in technology expectations of our organizations. Cloud platforms continue to rapidly evolve at an even faster clip - offering some significant opportunities to replatform and migrate away from capital intensive on-premise workloads as we comply with these new regulations and retool for them to continue evolving.
